She is making waves in the acting industry and proving that the ceiling and the sky is not the limit, who is she? Real name- Lungelo Pretty Mpangase, a novice actress and a model.

Lungelo is well known as Khethiwe. A sweet and somewhat naive girl in the new  Mzansi magic's Drama series coined as eHostela. According to her this was her first major role as both a lead and as an actress, but she is already making heads turn and leaving jaws dropped.

This was not her first audition, Mpangase says she has been going for auditions for a long time, by strike of luck and 99.9% hard work she was able to land this such amazing role.


"I was very nervous because I thought I was not ready for a big role, since i have no experience nor education in acting. However, it has been such a wonderful experience- from the emotional journey and physical exhaustion which I had no idea I would come across. Indeed acting is a serious labor, not a child's play", She describes her overall experience in the acting industry by far.

Besides acting and modelling, she is also passionate about religion and culture and she loves and enjoy offering her support to those seek it. Mental health and spiritual healing is also her burning passion, hence she does Psychic Tarot readings to her friends and family.

Growing up in two different provinces was a bit of a challenge for her, but she would later see it as an advantage hence it offered her the chance to embrace the notion of a rainbow nation. Through mixing with different tribes, she has learnt their ways of living and she can even talk the talk- she has learnt how to speak Sesotho and Xhosa. Mpungose says she is keen to learning how to speak other beautiful  indigenous languages.

According to Pretty, her Primary School groomed her- hence she was exposed to an array of activities. This imprinted on her mind the idea that she wanted to be an entertainer at a very young age. She fell in love with acting, in fact she would act for and her family and friends- Fast forward so many years later, she is doing just that on a bigger scale.

She describes her real character as the complete opposite of Khethiwe, Age wise and her experience in life. Lungelo is no people's pleaser and she always put herself first. On the other hand, Khethiwe is too sweet and sometimes hides her true feelings, She is not afraid to let it all out.

Her rise to stardom was very bumpy, being financially constrained was her biggest problem. This according to her compromised her from attending auditions, she couldn't afford transport. At some point she was forced to sleep at the audition venues, only to be sent home.

Her advice to anyone who is keen to make it big in the industry- Go and get it, no one will bring it to you. Forget people that promise you success and make your own success. Work hard and don't ever give up, Google is your best friend!

Her ultimate goal is to grow in the industry and being able to portray many different roles.
